What in your schooling has prepared you for the uncertainty of 2020?

Did learning how to solve for x or the memorizing the year of the Magna Carta prepare you to deal with pandemic, state violence, and economic turmoil?

Did it help you develop the relationships that will carry you through?

Maybe it is time to reconsider the importance of schooling in the lives of young people, and the role of education in our lives. Maybe the focus on winning at the game of academics and capitalism is not in the best interest of our children, or society. Maybe there is a better alternative to schooling. Maybe there is a better alternative to community.
